![]() St. Secondin airfield has two long flat runways in the midst of open country side. The hanger and clubhouse can be seen in the distance. |
Its location offers ideal weather conditions for flight training. This enables students to consolidate their flying hours, and with the combination of experienced instructors and good weather, students can learn to fly safely and quickly.
The constantly mild weather conditions make camping on site a pleasure. We have hot showers and toilets in the hangar and students are entitled to camp for free (for non students there is a nominal €5 per night charge to cover gas and electric). There is also a furnished caravan on site competitively priced at €10 per night. Alternatively we can arrange accommodation in St Secondin village or in a British owned house in the nearby town of Gencay (15 mins drive away) - see Accommodation and Travel below.
